The Book
Prince Hamlet comes to know from the Ghost of his father, that he was murdered by his brother Claudius. Claudius has married Gertrude, the queen of the slain king. She is totally unaware of Claudius' wile and acts. Upon this enlightenment Hamlet vows to avenge the murder.

On the other hand, Lord Polonius, the father of Ophelia, Hamlet's love interest, is making efforts to ensure that the two don't come together.

Hamlet puts together a play depicting the unfortunate acts with the hope of hitting the conscience of Queen Gertrude and King Claudius and confirming that what he saw was indeed reality and not a hallucination.

On another front, Fortinbras, the Nephew of Norway is ready to attack the Dane kingdom.

Rating
Yellow - well, the most difficult part was coming to terms with Shakespearian English.

Hamlet, as such is a well-written piece. Though slightly slow in the beginning, as the plot builds up, it gathers an amazing pace. High on drama quotient. It does not have a happy ending.
